Prelude: Preamble

Welcome & Call to Worship

[Psalm 90]

Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.

Before you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

You turn humankind back to dust, for a thousand years in your sight are like yesterday when it is past, or like a watch in the night.

Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, so that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Let your work be manifest to your servants, and your glorious power to their children.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper the work of our hands.

Let us worship the LORD!

Come Sing, O Church, in Joy! (Hymn 430)

Dill/Darwall

Come sing, O church, in joy! Come join, O church, in song!
For Christ the Lord has led us through the ages long!
In bold accord, come celebrate the journey now and praise the Lord!

Long years have come and gone, and still God reigns supreme,
Empowering us to catch the vision, dream the dream!
In bold accord, come celebrate the journey now and praise the Lord!

Let courage be our friend, let wisdom be our guide,
As we in mission magnify the Crucified!
In bold accord, come celebrate the journey now and praise the Lord!

Come sing, O church, in joy! Come join, O church, in song!
For Christ the Lord has triumphed o’er the ages long!
In bold accord, come celebrate the journey now and praise the Lord!

Confession

God of steadfast love, we are all baptized into Christ’s body and depend on one Spirit. Forgive us for becoming disconnected from you and others and trying to be complete on our own. Forgive us when we envy others’ gifts or devalue weaker members whose gifts seem less obvious. Reconnect us to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Teach us to appreciate one another, and help us coordinate our actions as your hands and feet and eyes and ears. Amen.

Silence

Restore in Us, O God

Daw/Hopson

Restore in us, O God, the splendor of your love;
Renew your image in our hearts, and all our sins remove.

Bring us, O Christ to share the fullness of your joy;
Baptize us in the risen life that death cannot destroy.

Forgiveness in Jesus Christ

Peace

The peace of Christ be with you.

And also with you.

Doxology (Hymn 592)

Ken/Genevan Psalter

Praise God from whom all blessings flow;
Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God above, ye heavenly host
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Pastoral Prayer & The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Call to Stewardship

God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” -Genesis 1:29-30
